Vance Earl Race Report

Oct. 12: Raced at Daniel's Ridge. In all my 18 years of racing I saw something new.. We were coming down a straight away beside a creek, when out steps a giant bull. This thing was HUGE... I just barely missed him, but not so for John Jordan who was a couple of places behind me. He hit the bull and broke his collarbone. There were reports of cow hide in the barkbusters. The next lap I took it a little slower through that section. We all did. I had made it up to 2nd place and was having a good race, when I had a flat front. I ended up 6th in the class, but at least I wasn't the one with a broken bone. We will count this a good race.

Oct. 19th: McGee's Tree Farm in Wilkesboro. The track was great. It is a new track with woods and creek jumps. I started off mid pack and worked my way up to 3rd. I continued to ride hard and steady, staying ahead of Bryan Henson and Sam Chalk, Jr. The bike was working great. I finished 3rd behind Kailub Russell and Robby Norwood.

Oct. 26th: Flat Rock in Taylorsville. There had been rain all around the week before. The track was 6 miles and rocky. We had a good race, with about 7 pros. I was running good when my brakes went out. I continued to ride and still ended up 4th, not too bad without brakes.

Thanks to all my sponsors, I couldn't do it without you guys.
