Round 15 of the NCHSA was held at Flat Rock in
Taylorsville NC.

The day was perfect as speculations thought the race
was going to be canceled due to a heavy down poor all day Friday and
Saturday morning. Sam Chalk and myself walked the beginning part of
the track and the dirt was just in perfect conditions.
As the flag
dropped, i got a good kick on my KTM 250. Bryan Henson and Matthew
Pressley got the jump on me as we entered the fist corner. Sam Chalk
and I were dead even, and I decided to back off in fear that we were
both headed for the ground. The first lap showed me coming around in
First, 2 seconds in front of Vance Earl but later found out that the
track had been mis-arrowed.
I cruised around the rest of the race in
5th position behind Henson, Pressley, Chalk, and Earl. I showed some
very fast lap times and was happy that my speed is finally returning
to me after May. I took a hard fall on the first lap in some new
virgin trail and my PMB/Fastway Bark Busters kept my clutch from
being broke and my hands protected.
The power on my KTM 250 was
perfect with my FMF Fatty pipe and Titanium 2 silencer. Once again
my flexx bars absorbed the harsh braking bumps and allowed me to
ride strong and fast the whole gruesome 2 hour race. My combination
of Millville rear tire and Washougal front was perfect for the track
conditions. My new scott goggles keep the dirt and mud out of my
eyes with their new foam, and prostack tear offs.
Thanks again for all your help this year and many
years to come.
