We were at County
Line in Taylorsville, NC. It had rained for a few days, making
the woods and motocross perfect terrain.
The guys had a 4.3
mile loop counting the motocross. I got a good start and kept
pushing. I was 2nd on the first lap, just a few seconds behind
Brian Henson. We rode hard all day. When Brian pitted, I made
up even more time, putting me right on him. There was no dust
for a change and my bike was working great. I finally got around
him and held the lead for a while, in the woods. We battled
back and forth, having a great ride. We came out onto the
motocross right on each other. Unable to pass him, I stayed
with him finishing 3 seconds behind him in 2nd Overall. We had
a great time.
