IS FEATURED ON CARTOON NETWORK’S “PROPS”

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (June 24, 2008) – Eric Saunders may only be fifteen years
old but he is already an accomplished motocross racer. The young Hoosier
competes under the banner of fellow Indiana native, mentor and 2x NASCAR
Nextel Cup Champion’s team – Tony Stewart Racing (TSR).
Saunders will once again compete in a rigorous 2008 tour throughout the
Midwest and has already picked up seven wins this season in three different
divisions.
In addition to his TSR alliance, Eric has also joined forces with Great
Clips®. Great Clips®, which boasts over 2,600 salons across the United
States, has a ten year history in professional motorsports and also sponsors
the No. 38 NASCAR Nationwide Series entry of Jason Leffler as well as ARCA
RE/MAX Series’ regular Gabi DiCarlo.
And as if Saunders didn’t have enough excitement with high school, touring
with his motocross team and working hard to help promote his sponsors, the
ante was upped with the recent announcement that Eric is one of 20 nominees
to be featured on Cartoon Network’s “Props”. “Props” is an on-air
show and online social campaign that profiles real-world, inspirational kids
with exceptional talents, accomplishments and prowess. Starting on June
30th, viewers across America can vote online for the six finalists who’s
talents will be showcased by getting “Props” and having their talents filmed
for television to air later in the fall.
“We had a strong start to our 2008 season and the pace will pick up now that
summer is here,” noted Saunders. “I am proud to represent Great Clips® and
want to thank them, Doug Stringer and Jason Leffler for their support. We
are working on some exciting things that will hopefully help our team,
sponsors and the motocross community.”
When asked about the Cartoon Network “Props” nomination, Eric added,
“It is neat to be nominated and I hope we can be one of the finalists so
show more people what motocross is about. Several kids have talents in
singing, music or dance but I’m glad they gave extreme sports recognition as
taking talent because we practice and put a lot of hard work and dedication
into this sport. I know that my fellow motocross racers and the industry
will support me fully and hopefully go online and vote to show the rest of
America what we love.”
Eric is concentrating his racing efforts on the Ponca City Grand National
Championships held on July 20-26, 2008, and the premier Loretta Lynn’s MX
Championships which will take place July28-August 2, 2008. Additional
