Backbone Adventure Cycling: 2009 Update

Chuck Taylor Libolt
Backbone's very own Pro DH racer in CA, Chuck-T will be looking to enter the fray at Sea Otter's Dual Slalom race this year! He will be looking to snag a new TOMAC SNYPER frame to layup his new bike, so WATCH OUT! Chuck may be barging a gate a race near you. Chuck Libolt was featured in a full page ad for Amino Vital last year!

Chuck "Tabasco" Libolt will be not only be holding it down amongst the Pro DH racers at Sea Otter this year...he plans to pony up and race Dual Slalom as well.  His secret weapon?  A Kenda Excavator equipped TOMAC Snyper, size small.  This was the same bike ridden by World Cupper Filip Polc last season with much success.  Chuck will be around for a while, probably between Tomac, Kenda, and Amino Vital... So find him and see if he'll let ya ride his bike! Good luck with that...

Benge Bros to join Backbone Gravity Squad for '09
Austin Benge and his brother will be joining Backbone Adventure Cycling's gravity squad for 2009, helping to heat up the West Coast as baby-pro's!  These boys travel from Whistler to New Zealand to ride with best the world has to offer.  Hailing from St. Helena, CA, we are proud to have these young guns running the Backbone team colors for the season.  Ask them how they like their TOMAC PRIMER DH bikes, they'll be happy to tell you all about them...

Backbone's Jeff "Tookie" Williams Racing Sea Otter
Jeff will be aboard his new TOMAC CARBIDE XC1 for Sea Otter this year, meeting his teammates on the West Coast for the first time!  Hailing from Argyllite, Kentucky, Jeff races Pro 24 Hr stuff.  He'll be glad to get some sunlight after being snowed in for the past week, and raring to go in his first Sea Otter appearance!  Ask him if that thing has a HEMI when he rides by...he'll appreciate that...

Backbone XC Team To Get Tomac Type X's For '09

Backbone Adventure Cycling's Bert "The Hurt" Blanchette and Vanessa "No Nickname Is Good Enough" Humic will take posession of shiny new TOMAC TYPE X carbon hardtail frames for 2009.  At just 2.5lbs in a medium, these frames will build up to a sub-20lb race bike in no time flat.  Ask Vanessa how well it climbs as she rides past you on the climb to the top of Brian Head Peak!

Backbone Adventure Cycling and Wheeltags!
Backbone Adventure Cycling's DH team will be sporting shiny new custom WHEELTAGS rim decals on their TOMAC PRIMER DH bikes this year.  Wheeltags has a huge assortment of custom and stock road bike decals, but Backboners will be the first to have them on the mountain bikes.  R & D'ing them in the mid-America Top Secret Test Facility, I have been working deep into the night on the measurements and artwork for the 'tags.  Don't be jealous, just order your 'tags today and be glad we worked out all the details..

Good Luck all you Backboners!
