SOLID DEBUT FOR FOAMETIX RACING IN LONG BEACH
13TH FOR NUMBER 13

LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 30, 2008) After an eventful 34th running of the Long Beach Grand Prix, the number 13 Foametix Dodge Viper placed 13th in the SPEED World Challenge GT race capping off a historic weekend that hosted the final race for the CHAMP Car Series. The stands were overflowing to witness this event and many fans got their first taste of the standing start sprint race that World Challenge is known for.

This marked the first race for Claudio Burtin with his new sponsor Foametix and his first time in a Dodge Viper. “I wanted was as much seat-time as I could in the Viper,” stated Claudio, driver of the number 13 Woodhouse Performance-prepared Dodge Viper. “Between replacing the transmission in practice limiting my track time, and wrestling to keep the rear of the car behind me from mid-race on, it was one of those weekends where the action never stopped.”

In traditional street-course form, the race was filled with difficult but exciting passes and what seemed like an endless number of caution periods. With a solid start in 15th, Burtin immediately began a push to the front moving up three positions by his 11th lap of the 28. “I was especially pleased to get around Michael McCann in the #16 Cadillac,” said Claudio, “Lap times suffered from mid-race on due to rear tire heat making the car loose. After a series of three full coarse yellows and strung out re-starts I was pleased to just maintain position and stay clean.”

“I just wanted to hold on to the car and finish,” stated Burtin. “My teammate Jeff Courtney caught up about mid-race and I didn’t make it easy for him. I had a ball running with him on my tail but it was apparent his car was getting stronger and earned a good pass. Due to my schedule and my arrangement with the team, Tommy Archer will be driving the #13 Foametix Dodge Viper at Miller in Salt Lake.”

“Claudio did a great job this weekend,” stated Bob Woodhouse, Team Owner of Woodhouse Performance. “The Viper is a bit different from the cars he’s driven in the past, so we’re all happy to see that he was immediately on the pace, and extremely clean.”

Watch on SPEED Wed. Apr 30th at 12PM noon eastern. The next round of the SCCA Speed World Challenge GT Series will take place on May 18 at Miller Motorsports Park near Salt Lake City, Utah.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WOODHOUSE PERFORMANCE RETURNS TO GT WITH VIPER COMPETITION COUPE AND DRIVER JEFF COURTNEY

Jeff Courtney in the No. 99 Woodhouse Viper

BLAIR, Neb. (February 26, 2008) Bob Woodhouse is happy to announce the return of his Woodhouse Performance race team to the World Challenge GT series. Jeff Courtney will return to the driver seat after an outstanding rookie season in the GT series, where he took 7th overall in the points race, and completed all 10 races, in the No. 99 Dodge Viper Competition Coupe.

“We will again have Kenda Tires, MPI Coin, TJM Integrated Wealth Management, and Badger Components as our primary sponsors for the 99 car,” says Courtney. “It’s great to have them back, as well as Karavan Trailers, Eibach Springs, Kicker, JG Wheels and Foerster Signs, all supporting the team from last year.”

“2007 was a great year for Woodhouse Performance and it is exciting to back in 2008. We have created some dynamic team synergy that I look forward to refining this year,” says Courtney, “and we look to successfully prove the viability of the Viper Coupe in this series while several others from last year have now opted for other cars.”

“We are looking to announce Jeff’s teammate in the No. 13 Viper very soon,” says Woodhouse, who has been a steady fixture and a paddock favorite with his flashy cars, love for the sport and sense of humor. “Jeff was a great addition to the team last year with his patient driving style and strong pushes in the fourth quarter of every race. He keeps us in contention and we are convinced the best is yet to come with Jeff.”

Woodhouse says, “We chose to stay with the Dodge Viper as SCCA Pro Racing does a great job regulating the competition and will be watching closer than ever this year. One thing is for sure, that no one wants to lose, so expect plenty of drama.”

Although Courtney was new to the GT series in 2007, his 7th place overall finish comes on the heels of his 2006 World Challenge Touring Car Rookie of the Year title. In the off-season his tires have been anything but cool as he has been busy with performance testing and recently placed 2nd at the Grand Am Koni Challenge race in Daytona, Fla. Jan. 24-25 along with teammates Joe Foster and Scott Maxwell He is currently tied for second place in the Grand Am Koni Challenge Series driver’s point championship.

The World Challenge GT series is revving up for their first standing start Mar. 14-17 at Sebring, with the next stop scheduled for the Grand Prix of Long Beach April 18-20.

IMPRESSIVE SEASON FOR JEFF COURTNEY IN WORLD CHALLENGE GT

Season Recap: No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI/Karavan Trailers/Badger/JG Wheels/ Foerster Signs/Eibach Springs Dodge Viper Comp. Coupe

SLINGER, Wis. (Oct. 29, 2007) –  Jeff Courtney and the No. 99 Kenda Tires/Pro MPI Dodge Viper posted a solid season in the SPEED World Challenge Series, finishing seventh in the overall standings and impressing in his first season in the GT division.

Courtney, nabbed to drive for Woodhouse Performance after impressively winning Rookie of the Year in the Touring Car division in 2006, made a successful and notable transition into the Dodge Viper Competition Coupe, a completely different animal than his AWD Audi in the Touring Car Series. And it had its challenges within the series. The Woodhouse Performance team worked hard all season to overcome the competition deficit with the Viper in a series where domination by Cadillacs, Porsches and Corvettes kept them from competing for the win each week. Although frustrating, it was fuel for the fire for Courtney, who, despite the difficulties with the levelness of the playing field, impressed with his consistency.

The opening race of the season was telling for Courtney, as he posted an 11th place finish at right out of the box. A monsoon-like rain hit the Sebring International Raceway the morning of the race, forcing Courtney to make his first start in a Viper in wet track conditions. But the combination of challenges didn't phase him. The new team, new car, new division, new group of competitors and slippery racetrack couldn't keep him from his signature clean, consistent racing. Starting off the season just outside the top-10 in points? Not bad.

At Long Beach, a new set of challenges arose: A tight street course, a group of folks from sponsor company ProMPI/MPI Coin to impress and limited track time to prepare for the race. But the resilient Courtney was awarded the Sunoco Hard Charger Award, after picking up 16 positions on his way to a 13th-place finish.

The third round of SPEED World Challenge GT competition took place at Miller Motorsports Park in Salt Lake City. It was the site of Courtney's first top-10 finish, of both his GT career and the season. He left 11 th in the championship standings, just four points out of 10th. The next race would help him break into the coveted top-10.

That next race featured NASCAR NEXTEL Cup series star Kasey Kahne joining in the World Challenge festivities as teammate. Courtney would make the best of Round Five on the modified oval of Lowe's Motor Speedway and finish fifth in the No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper. It was his first top-five of the season and it was also a finish one spot higher than the celebrated Mr. Kahne – something to write home about.  Heading to Round Six at Watkins Glen, Courtney was sitting 10th in the season standings, on-track to start the second half of the season in prime position.

The next three races, taking place at Watkins Glen International, on the streets of Toronto, Canada and at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, would produce solid top-15 finishes and confirm his newly-tabbed nickname 'Mr. Consistency.' Through the finishes he maintained his spot in the top-10 in points, while at one event hosting a special group of 100 sponsor guests. At Mid-Ohio Kenda Tires associates cheered Courtney on from a frontstretch hospitality tent, watching their No. 99 Dodge Viper race its way to the front after one of their associates gave the command to start engines to the entire SPEED World Challenge GT field.

With two races remaining in the season, SCCA made a competition adjustment to the entire field that helped the Vipers become more competitive, and it showed in Courtney's results. It was just the ticket Courtney needed to level out the playing field and kick his performance into high gear.

Round Nine took place at the historic, super-speedy Road Atlanta. The race itself could only be summed up in one word: Craziness. But for Courtney, it was one of his best of the season. He started out the weekend by posting his best qualifying effort to date, a seventh, and making his way through the multi-car wreckage resulting from a downpour of rain that came about midway through the race. He came out of the carnage cleanly in second, and had it not been for a first-time-in-SCCA-SPEED-World-Challenge-history extension of the race, Courtney would have gotten the first podium of his GT career. Still, the strategy and skill of Courtney and the direction of crewmen Erik Messley and Eddie Martin led him to a sixth place finish at Road Atlanta, one of his favorite tracks on the circuit. Again, Courtney left sitting inside the top-10 in the championship points, one solid finish away from solidifying a spot there in his opening season of GT racing.

At the finale, at none other than Laguna Seca Raceway, in the beautiful hills of Monterey, Calif. The challenging road course and well-known corkscrew has given drivers funny feelings in their stomachs for years. The track was one Courtney knew he could tame, in part because of his confidence in the preparation of the Viper by Rick Maxwell and Ashley Wick. Qualifying saw consistent Courtney post his best qualifying run of the year, a fifth. Courtney told the team he felt like he had a chance to give the leaders a run for their money. But an unfortunate weight penalty after qualifying forced him to start at the back. An aggressive drive to the front found Courtney gaining 15 positions in the opening laps of the race and in the battle for 12 th before the mid-point of the race. Much to his dismay, a mechanical issue would slow his drive, forcing him to nurse the Viper home to an 18th place finish. However the championship points position was not in jeopardy, and Courtney would hold his place in the top-10 in points.

The Slinger, Wis. native and former Panoz Series champion finished seventh in the SPEED World Challenge GT championship points standings, scoring 151 overall. He finished in the top-10 four times, the top-five once and the top-15 in each of the rest of the races, with the exception of Laguna Seca.

At the banquet, Courtney thanked his sponsors Kenda Tires, ProMPI, MPI Coin, Badger Tire and Wheel, Karavan Trailers, Foerster Signs, JG Wheels, and Eibach Springs for giving him the opportunity to race in the SPEED World Challenge series in 2007.

"Despite some fighting with the series to make our cars competitive, and a few driver mishaps, I felt like we put together a good season and learned a lot this year," Courtney said. "I'm really looking forward to going racing next year, whether it be in SPEED World Challenge, American LeMans or another professional series. The high competition level in World Challenge GT and the great support from the crew at Woodhouse Performance helped me raise my game this season to a level where I am confident that I will be competing for wins and possibly a championship next season."

KENDA TIRES START THE SHOW FOR COURTNEY’S 14TH PLACE FINISH  AT MID OHIO

LEXINGTON, Ohio (July 22, 2007) - Woodhouse Performance hosted an array of guests from sponsor Kenda Tires for Round Seven of SPEED World Challenge GT competition in which Jeff Courtney posted another solid top-15 finish in the No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper. The engines of the SPEED World Challenge cars came to life at the command of Kenda Tires’ representative Chris McKee. As Grand Marshall, McKee accompanied Word Challenge track announcer Tom Hnitaw in the booth to share the most famous words in motorsports with the crowd. She and the 100-person Kenda Tires group, along with the Woodhouse Performance crew, cheered Courtney on in the 29-lap race that took place at one of his favorite race tracks.

After making an appearance at the hospitality tent and signing autographs for Kenda dealers and associates, Courtney hopped in his No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper Competition Coupe in the 12th position on grid, after posting a time of 1:27.369 sec (93.183 mph) in Saturday’s early morning qualifying session on the 13-turn, 2.558 mile road course. All of Woodhouse Performances’ eyes were on Courtney, as he was their only entry in World Challenge. The No. 13 had presented a successful first run in American Le Mans Series Saturday and was not competing in the World Challenge race.

Car Chief Erik Messely calmly and positively lead Courtney on the radio, encouraging him after a mishap on the start. Courtney was running lap times faster than many of the drivers ahead of him consistently throughout the race, and he moved his way up through the field with a vengeance.  He made some stunning passes en route to his 14th place finish, having pushed the car to its most acceptable limit looking for the best finish possible.

The results meant ‘Mr. Consistency’ posted his fifth top-15 finish of the season, and would remain 10th in the in the season championship point standings, nine points out of the ninth position and nine points ahead of 11th place James Sofronas.

“The Woodhouse Performance team provided an excellently prepared Viper and I am so proud and thankful for everything they do on this car,” Courtney said after the race. “This is a track I really like and I am disappointed that the beginning of the race didn’t go better. It was tough because here at Mid-Ohio you start going uphill, so you have to hold your foot on the brake until the green light so you don’t roll backwards, but I just couldn’t get my heel over in time to get a good start and after that I was on a mission to get up through the field. I was so glad to have all of the guests of Kenda Tires here, we had a great time visiting with them before the race and I appreciate their and all my other sponsor’s support.”

SPEED World Challenge GT action from Mid Ohio Sports Car Course airs at 4:00 p.m. Saturday July 28 on SPEED Channel.

In-car video highlights from the No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper will be available for viewing on sponsor websites www.kendausa.com, www.kicker.com and ProMPI.com, Wednesday.

The SPEED World Challenge Series moves to Mosport International Raceway August 26 for Round Eight of GT competition in Bowmanville, Ontario. Nick Majors will return to the No. 13 Woodhouse Performance Dodge Viper Competition Coupe alongside Courtney.

WOODHOUSE PERFORMANCE POSTS TWO TOP-15 FINISHES ON THE STREETS OF TORONTO

TORONTO (July 8, 2007) - The streets of Toronto produced an exciting race for Woodhouse Performance in Round Six of SPEED World Challenge GT series competition Sunday. Canadian guest-pilot of the No. 13 Woodhouse Performance Dodge Viper Nick Majors finished 14th in his SCCA Pro Racing debut, while ‘Mr. Consistency’ Jeff Courtney posted another top-15, finishing just barely outside of the top-10 in the 11th position in his No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper. It was Courtney’s fourth top-15 finish of the season. With it he keeps his 10th position in the championship points standings for the fourth race in a row.

The race day began with a heavy thunderstorm that left a considerable amount of water on the race surface. The wetness lingered as light rain continued on and off throughout the day and during the race. The street course was slippery as a result, going from moderately dry at the beginning to wet again in a light rainstorm midway through the race and back to dry toward the end.

Courtney started the race on the damp grounds of the Canadian National Exhibition in the 14th position, after qualifying with a lap time of 1:18.073 seconds (80.924 mph) in Saturday afternoon’s qualifying session.  After making an impressive start in his No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper at the flash of the green light, Courtney got a taste for just how slippery the track surface was, going for a slight spin in turn five. He quickly recovered, working his way through the field with a vengeance and reaching the 11th position by lap nine. He would only improve as the race went on,  finding himself in the sixth position just before a full-course caution involving the Dodge Viper of Scotty B. White of Puyallup, Wash., near the end of the race. The restart came with one lap to go and Courtney sensed things could get dicey on the final lap. He kept his nose clean, staying out of any beating and banging and finished solidly in the 11th position. He was happy to see another successful race in the books for his sponsors and the Woodhouse Performance team.

“It was a good day. I was glad to come out of it with a good clean finish and close to the top-10. That was the goal,” Courtney said after the race. “ The track was slippery at first, once I got into the dry line the Dodge Viper took off and we were moving up through the field. On the last lap I knew it was going to get crazy out there but I just decided to keep cool, not force myself in between everybody and it paid off. We could have lost a lot of positions on that last lap had I not approached it that way, even ended up wrecked and that would not have been a good way to end our day. So, overall it was a good weekend. We came out of here clean and with a solid finish for Kenda Tires and ProMPI and all our sponsors and the guys who work hard on these Woodhouse Performance Dodge Vipers.”

Courtney remains in the 10th position in the SPEED GT points standings, nine points out of ninth and 14 ahead of 11th place James Sofronas.

Canada-native Majors, making his first appearance in the SPEED World Challenge GT series, posted a 19th place qualifying effort, with a time of 1:23.425 seconds (75.732 mph) on the 1.755 mile, 11-turn street course. No stranger to the Dodge Viper, it wasn’t Majors first rodeo in a Competition Coupe. But the specs in the SPEED GT series are different than what Majors is accustomed to on his very competitive No. 57 Viper. Regardless his familiarity with the non-ABS, lower horsepower Dodge Viper and the SCCA Pro Racing field improved each time he went on track throughout the race weekend and during the race itself. Majors worked his way up through the field after the start of the 31 lap event, driving extremely well in the rain and on the wet racing surface. To the cheers of his hometown crowd, he raced fiercely up through the field to capture a solid top-15 finish for himself and the Woodhouse Performance team. The talented, kind-hearted Oakville, Ontario native felt good about his first race in an American Pro Racing series, and is looking forward to his second opportunity at Mosport.

“I am looking forward to driving again with the Woodhouse Performance team at Mosport,” said Majors after the race. “I am familiar with the car and the series now after the race here in Toronto, so I think Mosport will turn out excellent. Having the extra time on track on the promoter test day will be a tremendous advantage to us there. We didn’t have much track time at all here in Toronto before the race, I think I made less than 20 laps total in practice, so being able to have more of that in Mosport will be great. Toronto was an excellent experience and a great opportunity and I enjoyed it immensely. The Woodhouse Performance team is top notch–they did an excellent job working with me all weekend long. I am most certainly looking forward to working with them again in Mosport.”

The SPEED World Challenge series heads to Mosport International Raceway for Round Eight of SPEED GT competition August 26, where Majors will make his second career SPEED GT start.

SPEED Channel will broadcast Round Six of SPEED World Challenge Competition from Toronto at 12:00 p.m. EST Sat. July 14.

Woodhouse Performance and the SPEED World Challenge Series heads to Lexington, Ohio July 22 to compete in Round Seven of SPEED World Challenge GT Series Competition at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course.

In-car video highlights from the race weekend in Toronto will be posted to our sponsors’ websites later this week.

Jeff Courtney

WOODHOUSE PERFORMANCE DRIVER TO COMPETE IN KONI CHALLENGE AT MID OHIO THIS WEEKEND

BLAIR, Neb. (June 21, 2007) – Woodhouse Performance driver Jeff Courtney, who pilots the No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper in the SPEED World Challenge GT series, will compete in the Grand Am Koni Challenge Series’ EMCO Gears Classic at Mid- Ohio Sports Car Course this weekend.

Courtney will race a Porsche 997 in the GS division for Ranger Sports Racing with former SPEED World Challenge Touring Car teammate Freddy Baker of Bedford, Ohio, as co-driver. Courtney and Baker will pilot the No. 89 Porsche 997, with support from Courtney’s Woodhouse Performance World Challenge sponsor Kenda Tires and Freddy Baker’s Audi and Porsche dealerships.

Courtney says he’s looking forward to racing in the Koni Challenge series this weekend because his purpose is two-fold: to have fun and get track time in preparation for his SPEED World Challenge GT race there July 22.

“Racing at Mid-Ohio this weekend is one of those things I wanted to do just for fun and also to gain some experience for our upcoming World Challenge race,” Courtney said. “Freddy [Baker] and I have been saying that we need to run a race together and it’s great to get to do that with Fraser [Wellon] and Barry [Ellis] who I used to run with in the Panoz series. I’m also able to get additional track time to prepare for the World Challenge GT race here. Kenda Tires will be bringing lots of guests to that race, so I know the additional seat time can only help us to put on a good showing for them in July.”

Courtney has made multiple starts in the Grand Am Koni Challenge series in years past. Co-driver Baker has also made multiple starts in the series, having posted several wins and competed in the 24 hours of Daytona on multiple occasions.

Ranger Sports Racing has registered two Porsche 997s for the EMCO Gears Classic weekend at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course, with drivers Fraser Wellon of Mississauga, Ontario, and Barry Ellis of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. in the No. 88 and Courtney and Baker in the No. 89.

Woodhouse Performance driver Courtney will take the wheel for Round Seven of Koni Challenge GS Racing at 2:15 p.m. EST Saturday, hoping to compete for a win and learn as much as he can to help him in the No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper at Mid-Ohio July 22.

COURTNEY, ALTENBURG FINISH 15TH AND 22ND AT WATKINS GLEN

WATKINS GLEN, N.Y. (June 10, 2007) – Woodhouse Performance took to the 11-turn, 3.4 mile road course nestled in the beautiful countryside of New York this morning for Round Five of SPEED World Challenge GT competition. Jeff Courtney finished 15th in the No.99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper, while teammate and guest star Jeff Altenburg put the heat on in the No. 13 Woodhouse Performance Dodge Viper before an unfortunate early retirement from the race, posting a 22nd place finish.

Courtney started the race in the 17th position, after qualifying with a lap time of 1:59.126 seconds (102.748 mph).  A slight malfunction on the start kept him from launching with the rest of the GT field, but Courtney made a quick recovery, catching up to the pack quickly. An early caution for trouble with the No. 20 Pontiac GTO of Dane Moxlow also helped him catch up to the field.  He raced as though a fire had been lit under him after the restart, making several take-your-breath-away passes and consistently improving his lap times. At a certain part of the race he was gaining two-tenths of a second per lap. He fought back to solidly post another top-15 finish. It was not the day he was hoping for the No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper, but he was glad to finish the day clean and with a solid finish.

“The car was fast,” Courtney said after the race. “ The Woodhouse Performance team did an excellent job of preparing the Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper for this race. We were certainly capable of at least a top-10 finish, I was hoping to do that here, but I think we’re still somewhere close to the top-10 in points which is awesome and we’re excited to be headed to Toronto in a few weeks to hopefully gain some more there.”

Altenburg started the race in the 15th position, after qualifying with a lap of 1:57.409 seconds (104.251 mph) in Saturday’s early morning qualifying session. He picked up three positions on the first lap of the race, executing nice passes on the Dodge Vipers of Mike McCann and Robb Foster. He consistently clicked off improved lap times and picked up speed in the No. 13 Woodhouse Performance Dodge Viper. However a vibration that was created by a damaged splitter when Altenburg got off-course in the bus-stop would be the culprit to an early end to his day. The damaged splitter and ensuing vibration was enough to cause him to retire from the race on lap 19. It was not the finish he and the Woodhouse Performance team had had hoped for in his fourth-career GT series start, but he was happy to get the experience.

“Well it wasn’t the day I was hoping to have, for myself or the Woodhouse Performance team,” Altenburg said after the race. “I got off in the grass going into the bus-stop and damaged the splitter. Then the car got a major vibration, and  we couldn’t finish. It was unfortunate, but I certainly enjoyed driving the Dodge Viper. The Woodhouse Performance team is excellent at preparing these cars to go fast and I am glad to have had the opportunity to get in one with them.”

Kahne qualified the No. 9 Evernahm Performance Parts/Woodhouse Performance Dodge Viper in the ninth position with a time of 49.835 seconds, after picking up over two seconds after the morning practice sessions. When the green flag waved, Kahne got an excellent start, gaining three positions as the SPEED GT field went into the frontstretch chicane. He gained two more positions on the second lap of the race, climbing his way up to the fourth position. Kahne reached as high as third during the 45-lap, two segment event, and finished the race in the sixth position after being slowed when he ran out of real estate going into the backstretch chicane on lap 24.

Courtney qualified the No. 99 Kenda Tires/Pro MPI Dodge Viper in the 11th position, with a time of 50.204 seconds, posting his best starting position of the year. He made multiple impressive passes throughout the race, coming all the way back from 16th  after a mishap on the start to finish fifth. With the finish, Courtney breaks into the top-10 in the season championship points standings, 19 points ahead of 11th place James Sofronas.

WOODHOUSE, COURTNEY POST TOP-10 FINISHES AT MILLER MOTORSPORTS PARK

Tooele, UT (May 19, 2007) – Bob Woodhouse, in his one-race return from retirement, competing in the No. 13 Kicker/Woodhouse Performance Dodge Viper, and Jeff Courtney, in the No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper, finished the day strong with top-10 finishes in Round 3 of SPEED World Challenge GT series competition at Miller Motorsports Park. With the beautiful mountains of Utah as a backdrop to the meticulously engineered 24-turn, 4.5-mile race track, Woodhouse Performance finished the weekend with both drivers in the top-10 for the first time this season.

“What a totally awesome day," Woodhouse said. "We walked out of the drivers meeting Friday morning and Jeff said, 'Hey, Bob, lets see if we can get both cars in the top-10',” Woodhouse said after the race. “ I was thinking about him on that last lap, hoping that he was there with us.”

“It’s been seven months since I’ve had a hold of the [steering] wheel, so I couldn’t be happier to be able to come out here and finish in the top-10,” Woodhouse continued. “There are some highly talented, highly respected drivers in this series, so for us to be where we’re at against those great competitors, we feel good.”

Woodhouse started the race in the 15th position, after qualifying with a time of 2:58.600 seconds, and picked up five positions on the first lap of the race. He gained two more before he settled into eighth , where he eventually finished the race. The contact with the No. 15 Corvette of Tony Drissi on lap 11 wouldn’t hinder him from accomplishing the top-10 finish and adding another mark in the career top-10 column.

Like Woodhouse, Courtney picked up multiple positions in the opening laps of the race. He qualified the Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper in 16th place with a time of 2:58.742 seconds, taking off from the starting grid just behind car-owner Woodhouse. By lap five he had gained six positions, breaking into the top-10 for the first time in his World Challenge GT series career. Courtney raced in and around the top-10 throughout the race, and took the checkered flag in the 10th position on the final circuit of the 14-lap race.

The 10th place finish for Courtney was his first top-10 of the season. Entering the Larry H. Miller Grand Prix of Utah, Courtney was 11th in the season championship points standings after posting top-15 finishes at Sebring and Long Beach. Courtney, who has now been appropriately nicknamed ‘Mr. Consistency’, holds his 11th place spot in the season standings, now just four points out of the top-10.

“It feels good to get my first top-10 finish, especially here at Miller Motorsports Park,” said Courtney. “ When we came here last year in the Touring Car series, we just had some terrible luck and didn’t really have a good race, and for that reason I didn’t know how the weekend would go. But it turned out great. I am happy to get my first top-10 in the GT series, finish the weekend clean and keep posting consistent, solid finishes in the Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper.”

Woodhouse was interviewed by SPEED Channel about his return to racing and will be featured in the pre-race portion of the SPEED World Challenge GT race Broadcast. The race airs at 5 p.m. EST on Sunday May 27, 2007 on the SPEED Channel.

Woodhouse Performance and the SPEED World Challenge Series heads to Charlotte, N.C., May 24 to compete in Round 4 of SPEED World Challenge GT Series Competition at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway. NASCAR Star Kasey Kahne will join Woodhouse Performance in the No. 13 Woodhouse Performance Dodge Viper for the race in conjunction with NASCAR.

BLAIR, Neb. (April 30, 2007) – Woodhouse Performance announced today Bob Woodhouse will again take the wheel of the No. 13 Kicker/Woodhouse Performance Dodge Viper Competition Coupe. He comes out of retirement to compete in the SPEED World Challenge series for one race, the upcoming Larry H. Miller Grand Prix of Utah at Miller Motorsports Park May 19.

“It has been difficult to be out of the car for so long,” Woodhouse said. “I feel fortunate that I am working with people that are flexible and allow me to step in for one race. Yeah, I know what you are thinking, ‘Just one? Right.’  But I love the Miller track and have confidence that I can do this one race and not be overwhelmed by the driving addictions that keeps so many people attached to this sport.”

Woodhouse continued, going into more detail about the reasons for his return.

“Since a season sponsorship on the No. 13 Dodge Viper Competition Coupe was not totally complete, scratching the ‘itch’ would not disrupt our team obligations.” Woodhouse said. “Thanks to Brian Smith, our current driver of the No. 13, for graciously stepping out of the car to allow me this indulgence.”

Woodhouse Performance’s second Viper, the No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper Competition Coupe, continues with driver Jeff Courtney, who feels good about his 11th place standing in the points after two races in his first season of GT competition.

“I came into GT after leaving Touring Car as the Rookie of the Year, but knowing that the GT series is an extremely competitive class,” Courtney said. “To be knocking on the door of the top-10 after two races is exciting,  and we’re going to continue to work hard as a team, get better and better, and hopefully higher and higher in the points, starting at Miller.”

COURTNEY GETS SUNOCO HARD CHARGER AWARD, BEST FINISH FOR WOODHOUSE PERFORMANCE AT LONG BEACH

VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS LONG BEACH, CA (April 15, 2007) -
Woodhouse Performance took to the streets of Long Beach for Round two of SPEED World Challenge GT Series Competition Sunday, and brought home their first award of the season with driver Jeff Courtney in the No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper. Courtney was given the Sunoco Hard Charger Award as the driver who gained the most positions in the race. Courtney picked up 15 positions on his way to a 14th place finish.

“It feels really good to win the Sunoco Hard Charger Award,” said Courtney after the race. “We had our learning curves here with this being a track that I had never been to before, but the crew was great at keeping me calm and confident all weekend long, and putting a strong car underneath me. I was able to get out there and drive the wheels off the thing and pass a lot of cars. It was great to be able to do it here at Long Beach since we had sponsors ProMPI and MPI Coin on hand for the race, so it worked out great that they were here to celebrate with us. ”

Courtney steadily and aggressively made his way through the field from his 29th place starting position, having moved up nine spots on the first lap of the race. By lap nine the Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper had passed 12 more cars and on lap 23, Courtney found himself in the top-15. He made his final pass into the 14th position on lap 27 and crossed the finish line a lap later in the same position. He sits 11th in points after posting top-15 finishes in the first two races of the season.

Teammate Brian Smith qualified the No. 13 Kicker/Woodhouse Performance Dodge Viper  in the 11th position with a time of 1:26.438, picking up over a second from his fastest lap time in final practice. An unfortunate start to the race caused Smith to fall back in the pack only to be caught behind several cars that had stopped when Lawson Aschenbach got spun in turn one. Some great driving by Smith and other World Challenge competitors kept a crash from occurring, but it came at the cost of time for Smith. Later in the race a flat tire from contact with slower cars in front of him would further the deficit to the leaders. It was not the weekend the Woodhouse Performance team was expecting. However, Smith and the team are confident they can overcome and gain ground in the next race at Miller Motorsports Park.

“It was definitely not the day we were expecting here at Long Beach,” said Smith after the race. “Although I had never raced here before, I did a lot of studying of the track and felt comfortable that I would be able to finish well here. The start and ensuing issues after the start kept us from being able to accomplish that. We are disappointed, but have 100 percent confidence in the Woodhouse Performance team that we can overcome this and continue to be strong competitors in the points and compete for top-10s in the rest of the races this season. We’re looking forward to Miller as the place to get back on the track we were on at Sebring.”

Smith sits 17th in points after the event, and looks to Miller to regain the momentum he began at Sebring when he finished in the top-10.

SPEED Channel will air the race broadcast on Saturday, April 21 at 3pm.

WOODHOUSE PERFORMANCE FINISHES 9TH, 11TH IN SPEED WORLD CHALLENGE GT SEASON OPENER AT SEBRING

Jeff Courtney

SEBRING, Fla. (Mar. 17, 2007) – Woodhouse Performance debuted strong in the first round of SPEED World Challenge GT Series championship racing at Sebring International Raceway Friday. Woodhouse Performance drivers posted top-15 finishes, one finishing inside, and the other just outside, the top-10. Brian Smith, driver of the No. 13 Kicker/Woodhouse Performance Dodge Viper, finished ninth while teammate Jeff Courtney finished 11th in the No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper. Smith and Courtney were the second and third highest finishing Dodges in the field.

After a race full of hurdles in the form of racing incidents not of his own making, Smith brought home a top-10 finish in his first outing in the No.13 Kicker/Woodhouse Performance Dodge Viper. He started the race in the 14th position AND got off to a strong start but got spun in turn seven on lap one.  Multiple positions were lost as a result, but the strength of driver and car showed as he worked his way back to the twelfth position just eight laps later. A full course caution flag flew on lap 11, which allowed Smith to make up more ground on the lead pack. Smith gained three more spots before the wave of the checkered flag, placing him ninth for the finish and making him the second-highest finishing Viper.

Smith said although the day was a bit frustrating, he was happy with the finish.

“It was a tough day in a lot of ways for the Kicker/Woodhouse Performance Viper but I am pleased with the results,” Smith said after the race. “Anytime you can get spun to the back of the field and get yourself back up to the top-10, that’s a great day. That’s what you need to win championships - to take a day that doesn’t go your way and pull a top-10 finish out of it. That gets you championships.”

Courtney was impressive in his first outing in a Dodge Viper for Woodhouse Performance, showing the consistency that has brought him much success in his racing endeavors in the past. He qualified in the 19th position and picked up eight positions on the way to an 11th place finish. He was impressively consistent in his first race in a Viper, which is a completely different animal than what he drove in the Touring Car series in 2006.

“The Viper requires much more throttle control than what I drove last year in the Touring Car series,” Courtney said after the race. “It is smoother and it’s much more powerful. I’ve always loved a higher horse power car and I am really starting to get used to it.”

Courtney also said his feelings on the finish could be summed up in one word.

“Satisfied. That’s the word I would use. I’d obviously rather be further up front, but I didn’t want to not finish the first event,” Courtney said after the race. “But I think to make up eight spots in this series is a great feat. So I’m really happy with the finish.”

He went on to describe his impression of his new team after the first race.

“I’ve been really impressed with the whole Woodhouse team. They worked really hard this weekend and made some tough last minute decisions that obviously worked well for us,” Courtney continued. “Of course, we couldn’t be doing any of this without my sponsors, Kenda Tires, ProMPI, Karavan and Badger Tire and Wheel, so a big thanks to them as well.”

You can watch Smith and Courtney in action on SPEED Channel Sunday, March 25 at 2:30pm eastern time when the race broadcast airs.

Exclusive in-car video from the Woodhouse Performance Vipers can be viewed at www.kicker.com and www.prompi.com.

WOODHOUSE PERFORMANCE SPEED WORLD CHALLENGE DRIVERS ON RACING AGAINST JIMMIE JOHNSON

BRIAN SMITH, Driver No. 13 Kicker/Woodhouse Performance Dodge Viper

Finished ninth in the season opening race at Sebring International Raceway

“I think it’s going to be a great thing to have Jimmie Johnson competing with us here (at Lowe’s Motor Speedway) in may. He obviously has a strong following with the NASCAR crowd, and i think we’ll gain a lot of fans and attention as a result of having him in our race.”

“From the competitive side of things, it’s a great opportunity to get to race against a NASCAR champion and its cool to see him come over and compete with all the other proven champions who are already a part of our series.  It will just be one more good driver out there we get to compete against.”

JEFF COURTNEY, Driver No. 99 Kenda Tires/ProMPI Dodge Viper

Finished 11th in season-opening race at Sebring International Raceway, 2006 Rookie of the Year

“I think anything that can bring exposure to the speed world challenge series, which is a great series, is good. Obviously having Jimmie Johnson here does that. It’s great for all of us. And it makes the race even sweeter because we’re competing against a NASCAR champion. I’m happy to have him out here, hopefully it brings more fans here to watch us in may.”
