Spring Tune-up

Race season is approaching! Whether you're a rookie or a regular, the DINO Spring Tune-up can help you practice and gage your fitness. It's shorter than the series races, and a bit less expensive, having no awards or series points. However, Gray Goat Sports will provide some random door prizes and mechanical service should you have race-day troubles! In addition, the Moore - Gray Goat Mountain Bike Race Team presents a free Intro racing clinic at 6pm Friday April 18. This is designed to help first time racers learn and practice for racing. The race takes place at noon for Sport and Expert levels, 2pm for Beginners, Intro, Juniors, and Clydesdale. Location is Washington Township Community Park in Avon Indiana. Go west on US36, 1.3 miles past SR 267. Turn left on County Road 575 E. Turn left again into the park. There is no pre-registration available, as the race will be cancelled with no re-schedule should trails be too muddy. We're stepping things up a notch this year!

First off, our new sponsor Primerica (Drew Wing, Agent) has enabled us to provide each racer with many useful items that each registered racer gets or can win at random...

Secondly, Oakley has stepped forward to offer even more value to our races with sunglasses and other items some lucky rider will take home after each race.

A brand-new Video Contest rewards video making racers and spectators to compete for a Hero Helmet Video-Camera... other prizes are pending!

Our Team competition will step back into our attention this year. Get three to five riders together and sign up your team now! We are building the prize list, currently $100 gift certificate from Dick's Sporting Goods.

Online registration this year is through Sports Base Online. Sports Base Online is a USA Cycling Partner. You'll also appreciate lower service fees than prior years' online registration.

Though most of the schedule remains intact from 2007, we'll be heading north this year to Imagination Glen Park in Portage.

The June 1 race at Brown County State Park is this year's Kentuckiana Championship - a friendly simple state vs. state challenge with our southern neighbors.

July 6 is the AMBC (American Mountain Bike Challenge) at North Vernon - always one of the series' most competitive dates for Pro, Expert, and Sport racers.
